Background
Robin Peckham, writer and curator, is the founder of Hong Kong gallery and project office Saamlung, a commercial space that seeks to engage in discourse around contemporary culture for greater China. His current research interests are in the possibility of criticism influenced by aesthetic developments in object-oriented ontology, post-internet object cultures, animated GIFs, and new materialisms in media theory. His writing, translation, and editorial work is published in Artforum, Yishu, LEAP, and ArtSlant, while recent publications include monographs on MAP Office and Zhang Peili.
